A&B Vintners is a leading specialist importer and wine merchant; our purposefully small teamcan offer you all the expertise, insight and personal service you’ll require: a bespoke wine-buying experience.
Independent and owner-managed, we opened for business in 1998; nearly 20 years expertise of buying, selling and advising our loyal, predominantly private clientele. At A&B Vintners, our directors - John and Simon - not only regularly taste and spend time with our high-profile winemakers but are key points of client contact too.
We are passionate about our wines and enjoy sharing our excitement by talking about them (mostly via email) in a way that everyone understands, whether they be avid collectors or new faces to fine wine. As a team, we strive to do our personal best for every single client and vigneron and, consequently, are proud of our long-standing relationships with both. We are here for the long-term, we care and your business matters to us.
We look forward to hearing from you …
John Arnold, Managing Director
John founded A&B Vintners in 1998 following a successful trading career in the City. Focussing on the regions he cellars himself, John backs unheralded and often unknown winemakers from day one. So, established A&B clients remember buying the first Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey vintage in 2001, Isabel Ferrando’s maiden bottling in 2003, Fourrier wines from the late 1990s and Julien Pilon’s first 2010 release. Long-term relationships with treasured estates - such as Jean-Louis Chave, Tempier, Levet and Vincent Dancer - only add to an enviable portfolio of Burgundy, Rhone and Provence wines. A large number of these producers are distributed exclusively by A&B Vintners in the UK, to a mainly private UK clientele with whom John enjoys great rapport. If you are a potential A&B customer – new to wine or an avid collector - please contact John directly.
