Massimo Benevelli is a brilliantly talented vigneron who was unexpectedly transported from his natural habitat among the vines into the family cellar, following the death of his father. Since those first tentative winemaking steps, both Massimo and his wines have grown exponentially in confidence. It’s reassuring to see that Benevelli’s instincts veer towards the traditional and the arrival of a pair of open-top wooden fermenters will only move his style further in that direction. This is a very exciting and currently under the radar estate but the secret is out – you’ll be hearing a lot more about Massimo in the near future.
