Caroline Morey

We are honoured to have been asked by Caroline to exclusively represent her wonderful new domaine in the UK. In the past, a tiny négoce range has been bottled under Caroline’s name but - thanks to a generous inheritance from her father, Jean-Marc Morey - in 2014 Caroline has produced a wonderful, focussed range of Santenay and Chassagne (red and white) from her own old vineyards. There will be other exciting Côte de Beaune parcels to follow in the future.
Her 2014s were produced and cellared in the same cuverie as the revered PYCM range. Whilst identical bottles, wax and corks are used, and the wines are pressed and vinified at the same time, Caroline has her own vineyard and harvesting teams. Of course Pierre-Yves casts a beady critical eye on proceedings (particularly with the whites, there’s a status to preserve) but this is very much Caroline’s own project and her wines have their own character and uniqueness. It is an identity that she - and we - intend to maintain.
