Young Jim Aterberry-Maresh is one of the luckiest inhabitants of the hallowed Red Hills of Dundee because his grandpa (Jim Maresh Sr)had the foresight to plant Chardonnay as well as Pommard and Wadenswil clone Pinot Noir in 1970 (only the 5th vineyard in Oregon and the first on the now densely-planted Worden Hill Raod) while most locals were still growing soft fruit and nuts. The original rooted plantings are the source of Jim`s extraordinarily precise renditions of these famous volcanic soils.

"Jim Arterberry, who grew up on his family`s 120+-acre property and is now the third generation of Arterberries to make wine here, has attained an admirable level of accomplishment at the young age of 30. And while he`s perhaps best known for his superb Chardonnays his Pinots are also outstanding." Josh Reynolds
